Welcome to the RES-Compass career orientation test!
If you are thinking about your future and are considering a career in the emerging area of renewable energy - RES Compass can help! The RES Compass career decision tool consists of a series of questions designed to guide you towards one the four Renewable Energy Sectors you are most suited to based on your interests and skills. Within each of the four career sectors you will discover the various types of careers available. Information is given on each career in the form of a job profile which gives details on the job and the tasks you would perform as well as the skills and the training required to get started.
The questions are presented together with pairs of answers and you must choose the one which matches closest to your personality. To give the best possible result, you should respond to the full set of questions.
If you have not encountered a situation presented in a question you can use your imagination to think how you would react and choose the sentence which best describes this. Answer truthfully and remember that there are no correct or incorrect answers - the objective is simply to give you an idea on which career direction you could take. If you wish to change an answer you can do so at any time.
There is no time limit to answer the questionnaire, although we recommend you do not spend too much time on each question. The whole test should take less than 10 minutes.
Once you have completed the test and browsed through the job profiles you will find that RES Compass also has a list of renewable energy training courses available over the whole of the EU27 to help you decide on your next steps.
