What is Energy Union?

Energy Union is a pan-European campaign tour supported by the Intelligent Energy programme to promote renewable energies and energy efficiency in an unconventional way. Energy Union goes where young people are partying and combines a campaign with an electronic and multimedia music tour. The mission: to illuminate, inform, and animate; to think and act. It inspires European young people and policy makers to take action on “energy intelligence”: saving energy and producing it from clean, renewable sources.

The tour

After a successful tour in 2009, with more than 10 000 visitors in 8 cities, Energy Union visits 16 more cities across Europe in 2010 and 2011. On the road again are Coldcut (Ninja Tune) with their iconoclastic AV film ’Energy Union’, an interactive exhibition using the “Gridio” system, an interactive photo-tool and political panel discussions.
