According to official data held by the Greek Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change (YPEKA) and EWEA the overall production of energy produced by renewable sources increased from 1446 MW in 2009 to 1736 MW in 2010. From the beginning of June and for one month users will be able to participate in the pilot testing of the e-learning tool that has been created in the framework of the European project e-WindTech. The e-learning course is addressed to students, engineers and windmills technicians and it trains users in the most critical maintenance procedures using interactive virtual reality simulations.

The Greek national conference for the RES COMPASS project, titled "YOUTH and RENEWABLE ENRGY SOURCES" took place on 6 May 2010 in Piraeus.
